Judging for the contest begins at 10 am. THe Home & Business Decorating Contest winners are awarded Catalina Island Gift Certificates: 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25. Prizes for:

- Overall Decoration
- Most Patriotic
Golf Cart Parade (1:00 pm)
The parade lineup will meet along Casino Way between 12-12.30 pm. Dress up yourself, your cart, or just come to join along in the fun. Decorate your float for the 2023 theme or the good ol’ red, white & blue. Parade categories include:
- Best of Parade
- Best Use of Recyclable Materials (1st, 2nd & 3rd place)
- Most Patriotic
- Most Sustainable Float
Dinghy Parade (3:30 pm)
Organized by the Catalina Island Yacht Club, you can jump in your dinghy and motor through the Avalon Bay moorings or watch from the shoreline.
Avalon Fireworks Harbor Cruise (8:30 pm)
Enjoy Catalina’s historic fireworks show from Avalon Bay. Board the Cyclone power boat and head out on the water for a unique perspective of Catalina’s historic 4th of July fireworks celebration. You’ll be right in the middle of the action as the rocket’s red glare and bombs bursting in air light up the nighttime skies over Avalon Bay. Buy tickets online.
Fireworks Show over Avalon Bay (9:00 pm)
Enjoy a live performance on Wrigley Stage after the Fireworks Show from the USC Marching Band Performance.
